A Fun Collection

One of the customs here in Japan is that many of the small branches hand make covers for their hymnbooks.  This is one of the cutest collections that I have seen.

Stitched at the top of each one is “sanbika” (sa-n-bi-ka) which means hymns.

We saw these hymnbooks in the Yonago Branch building on the Japan Sea side of the mission.  Don’t they just make you happy?!

    These are so great!! I love them! Russian members do the same thing, but they cover their scriptures with the cardboard from cereal boxes. It’s popular among the youth!
