Another Transfer Come and Gone

23 Dec

Yes, another transfer has come and gone.  This was a small one for us…five elders have returned home and two new elders have joined us.  The five that returned were all originally called to the Hiroshima Mission.  Last year these elders joined our mission when the Hiroshima mission was closed and the missionaries were split between the Kobe and Fukuoka missions.  Two returned to Okinawa, two to Brazil, and one to Utah.

These great missionaries have had three mission presidents.  That doesn’t happen very often!

The next day our two new missionaries arrived in Kobe.  We were thrilled to see them.  One joins us from Australia and the other from Utah.

Elder Young from Australia is heading to snowy country.  He raided the closet to see what kind of coats had been left by elders that have gone home.  I don’t think this one is going to work!

Here are the two new elders with their trainers receiving training from the president and his two assistants.

This has truly become an international church.  The Utah elder is being trained by a Brazilian.  The Australian elder is being trained by a Japanese.  They have come together in Japan to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ–a marvelous work and a wonder!
