A Big One!

19 Mar

What a fantastic week we have just had!  Missionaries were every where, coming and going…and we were loving it!

A group of twelve new missionaries fresh from the MTC has arrived again.  They left Utah on Monday morning and arrived here in Japan on Tuesday afternoon.  We picked them up at the Osaka Kansai Airport.  (Sorry the quality of the pictures isn’t so great…but at least we have pictures!!)

We eagerly await their smiling faces!  Many times someone getting off the plane comes up to us to tell us they are coming.  Wonder how can they tell who we are waiting for?!

The first missionary to appear!

They are full of excitement and enthusiasm and ready to go!

Wednesday brought training, lunch at a big World Buffet restaurant, first time contacting on the street as they walked back to the mission office from lunch, interviews with the President, signing the True Disciple Quilt, dinner and testimony meeting.  And some plum tuckered out missionaries!!!

Here they are in the mission office waiting for interviews with the President.

And one elder who just could not stay awake any longer during dinner.

The long awaited day arrived – Thursday – when they got to meet their trainers.

The trainers:

This is the chapel in the Kobe Stake Center adjacent to the mission home.

The matching begins!

What a beautiful quilt! Did you make it, Sis. Zinke? Thank you for posting so many pictures of the missionaries. It is so good to see them!
