New Missionaries

11 Jun

After a good night’s sleep the new missionaries awoke ready for a day full of training and dendo (proselyting).  The day started with a game of frisbee at the park.  After getting ready for the day we had breakfast and headed to the church for training.

The new missionaries have their first chance at contacting on the street as they walked back to the mission office after lunch with an experienced missionary and a Book of Mormon.

While waiting for their interview with the President they have the opportunity to email home, sign the True Disciple Quilt and visit with other missionaries.

The evening is finished with dinner and a testimony meeting.  What a wonderful day it always is!

Thursday always brings excitement.  The missionaries wake up ready to go!  This is the day they meet their trainers and head to their first areas of service.  We always start the day with a hike up Rokko mountain to see the beautiful view of Kobe.

After showers and breakfast the missionaries are ready for training and the companionship match up!  These next few photos show them entering the chapel in anticipation of their assignment!

And the matching begins…

What a wonderful couple of days with our new missionaries.  They are all in their new areas now working their hearts out!

Thank you Sis. Zinke for the photos and description of activities these first few days of our son’s arrival in Japan. Your thoughtful effort is much appreciated.

Thank you for all of the updates. I love seeing what the missionaries are up to and I also love learning who everyone is.
