Seventeen Missionaries Return Home

26 Jul

Transfer week is bitter sweet.  We love having new elders and sisters join us.  But along with that some of the veterans return home.  Seventeen of our incredible missionaries have returned home to begin the next season of their lives.

Thursday the office was filled with missionaries sharing stories and experiences while they waited for their final interview with the President.

After the final dinner Thursday evening, President’s assistants spent a couple of hours doing the dishes while those going home enjoyed a final testimony meeting.

What a day Friday was!  Thirteen family members came to pick up their missionaries.  The following are pictures from that day.

Five sister missionaries not wanting to say good-bye!

Two of President’s assistants went home this transfer.  Elder Burns in the first picture and Elder Osaka in the second.

What a beautiful group of Elders and Sisters.  We are so grateful for their tireless service.  Five return to Japan, two to Brazil, and the rest to six different states in the United States.  We will miss them!

Sayonara…We love you!
