New Missionaries Arrive

6 Jan

This week we had two new missionaries arrive to the mission.  One is here for his full mission, and one was called to a mission in Florida but will serve here temporarily until his visa arrives.

Elder Nakatsuka arrived with his family Wednesday morning.  He lives in the north part of our mission – up near the Japan Sea.  He will be with us for about a transfer (6 weeks) until he is able to go to the Missionary Training Center in Provo in preparation for his mission to Florida.

Elder Nakatsuka’s father is our Area Seventy so we felt blessed to be able to spend a little time with him and his family before they headed home.

After Elder Nakatsuka was on his way to his new area we headed to the airport to pick up our new missionary coming from the Missionary Training Center.   He is standing to the right of President in this picture.  We are so happy to have him join us!

Elder Hirata is from Shizuoka, north of here.  He will be a wonderful addition to the mission!
